RIP Sky

Richard Marsh, known to most as legendary Sky Saxon of the Seeds, passed away last week in Austin, Texas. I had the pleasure of spending some time with him and his lovely wife, Sabrina, over the last few months and he was one of the kindest people I have ever met. He will be truly missed.

Solitude...

Giddings, Texas is a tiny highway town halfway between Houston and Austin. I've driven through countless times in my life and never really bothered to actually explore the town. I decided I should check into a roadside motel and roam the streets with some slide film to see what Giddings had to offer. The stillness of the small town and being in unfamiliar (yet strangely familiar?) territory left me feeling a bit uneasy lurking around with my camera. The solitude of the night got the best of me. When I was done with my rolls of fim, I packed up my stuff and drove back to Austin. I guess I'm not as fearless as I thought.

Fashion Freakout

The 2nd annual Fashion Freakout will be held this Friday, February 6 at the Mohawk. Local boutiques Prototype Vintage Design, Buffalo Exchange, and New Bohemia will be featuring edgy retro fashions along side my personal favorite Ebay ladies, Laced With Romance Vintage. These are a few promo shots I did for the show, I hope to see you there.

This Must Be the Place

This Must Be the Place is my most recent body of work in which I am photographing people in their homes. This is an ongoing project that I will eventually make into a book. Contact me if you are interested in participating, the rest of the series can be viewed here.
